What do you do when the vehicle that should be saving you is about to run you over? The Home Based Business industry is a multi-billion dollar a year monster to be reckoned and many find themselves left in its wake daily.

What do you do when something comes along that has all the potential in the world to take your life to incredible levels yet you cannot seem to grasp hold of it? Not to mention it is not slowing down for you in fact to your dismay like the mighty ocean liner it is slipping past you and into the night.

You find yourself sinking back into your boat discouraged beyond words and wondering how this could be happening.

People come to this industry with serious financial and life issues. They are introduced to network marketing, internet marketing and all things related to owning a home based business. They understand both the business model and its potential and it is what seems like ‘the’ answer to what they have been looking for.

Then with not much to go on they push out into the deep and before they know it the rip tides of this arena have them lost at sea. Determined not to quit many spend thousands of dollars and countless hours looking for answers.

This is where without determination it is easy to become completely annihilated. Like the young men in that boat you must possess a will to live a determination to survive against all odds.

Please read the next statement and reread it until it really sinks in because it is the most important thing you must know in order to succeed.

Becoming a marketer is no different than any other profession it requires learning new skills and there is a learning curve.

The sharks of this industry know that but they are feeding on the desire of the individual to by-pass the learning curve and get into massive income quickly.

They offer complicated systems or programs that require advanced marketing skills and budget to conquer. They allege anyone can achieve millionaire status with nothing more than the ability to send and receive email…not true.

These marketing piranhas claim earnings of millions of dollars in record time and declare those results can easily be duplicated…they cannot.

They insist the high price is justified by the fact that you are about to make it back many times over. They convince you to see the exorbitant cost is an investment in your future…it is not.

It is easy to quickly be in over your head when trying to take on complicated systems that require a strong and solid working knowledge of marketing to maneuver…they do not care.

This is only one of the many different obstacles you can encounter while trying to carve out a career in this industry. I know all to well what those young men felt while in that boat. I too was left to die in the wake of this industry but I refused to draw the last breath and quit.

Saving my story for another day suffice it to say that financial and emotional death was certainly nipping at my heels more than once during this journey. But I refused to cave in, give up and quit.

Watching what those boys endured in their tiny vessel on the show, “I Should Be Dead” that night made me think of my experiences and how many times I thought for sure it was over. But I believed and held on and eventually was rescued finding something that was affordable, doable, and fun and now I’m helping rescue others.

The obstacles that can keep you from success in this industry will come in waves. But instead of giving up grab your surfboard and learn to hang ten!

So I was taking a break one night and while flipping channels came across this show called ‘I Should Be Dead.’ It is based on real life events where due to the severity of what happened the individuals portrayed should have died but thankfully did not.

 Perhaps you’ve seen the show.

 Anyway this particular night the episode was about two young men who one afternoon decided to hop in their non motorized boat play around for awhile then come back. They took no cell phones, food or water. 

They weren’t prepared for what happened next.

Even though they had lived near the ocean all their lives and were on the water routinely they opted not to check for any possible advisories before embarking on their journey.

There was trouble lurking…bad trouble.

Now I could stop right here and write a book about the similarities between these boys and what many have experienced with their network marketing businesses. It can and does pertain to just about any other type of business but I focus on network marketing because that is my passion.

However I’m moving on.

They no sooner rowed out into the deep when their boat was caught in a massive rip tide and immediately they found themselves not only in very deep water but very deep trouble.

All signs of land were gone.

It did not take long for the exposure to the scalding rays of the sun and lack of food and water to take effect. From time to time they would jump into the water just to cool off and to their horror realized they were in shark infested waters when one of the huge man eaters raced from the deep and rammed their boat. Frantically they swam back and managed to climb on board without getting eaten alive.

Another incredible point here relative to the network marketing industry, if ever there was a time in history when the waters were full of sharks it is now.

But this is not our stopping place today either  – we move on.

As both time and heat continued the two friends were trying to hang on but death was nipping at their heels. It was late during the fourth or fifth night at sea when the unthinkable happened.

Lying in the little raggedy boat they had become too weak to talk so they took turns slipping in and out of consciousness.

Then it happened.

They sensed it more than heard but out of no where and before they knew what was happening they realized there was a massive ocean liner bearing down on them. 

What a nightmare this thing that epitomized safety and sure freedom from death was about to become their cause of death.

Without slowing down this gargantuan object shoved their tiny vessel out of the way and moved past them. After realizing no one was hearing their cries for help and that it was not going to stop they sank back and watched as it slipped past and disappeared into the night.

 This is where I want to park for now.

Well Good Monday Morning Ya’ll,

Hope all is well with you and that by this the first of 2010 you are already marketer millionaires. In the event you have not made that status just yet and in fact have thought about quitting this word is for you.

Sometimes we think about quitting and we haven’t really even started. The dream of what we can achieve through network marketing is so vast and so huge that when we realize it is not going to happen over night it can be frustrating to the point of giving up.

The truth is you don’t just roll out of bed one morning with the skill and ability to be a million dollar earner or even a hundred dollar earner. You must be patient with yourself and the process until you learn the skill and tap into the lead source that works with your personality style in order to succeed big in this industry.

I was listening to a gentleman tonight who is a million dollar earner and leader in this industry tonight. He shared how he went through eleven network marketing companies in ten years and did not make any money in any of them. But apparently he tried one more time and the last time was the charm.

He is helping a LOT of other people realize their income earning goals. He gives tons of money to charities and encourages others to do the same. He lives where he wants to live, he drives what he wants to drive. He can ‘be there’ for his wife and children. They can vacation where they want to and debt collectors is not an issue.

Where would he and his family be today if he had quit when he did not realize success with opportunity number two or five or seven or eight? He stayed the course and fought the good fight…bottom line he did not give up!

I hope if you have found the network marketing industry and you ’see’ the big picture of what it can do for you and your family that you will not ever ever quit or give up. I truly hope to see you at the top!

Good Monday Morning Ya’ll!

Just a quick note to touch base and remind you that the year is young. You have plenty of time to make lots and lots of money. What? Did I hear you correctly? Your afraid of success you say? Well if you are you’re not alone.

You may not be aware of this but ‘most’ people are afraid of success…real success. I’m talking about the kind of success that enables you to be completely financially independent, allows you to live where you want to live and drive what you want to drive. The kind of success that brings with it honor and influence. Did you know the thought of that scares most people to death?

How do I know?

Look around you my friend. Most people are so scared to be successful and take on that responsibility they make excuses for why they should live paycheck to paycheck and why you should too. They say they wouldn’t want the amount of responsibility that comes with that level of income.

Are you kidding me?

Let’s just pretend that you were gangster kind of rich right now. How much more could you do for the people of Haiti than you are doing! It is about more than yourself but ‘most’ people are so stuck on themselves and their fears they are to selfish to think big.

I sincerely hope you’re not one of those people.

I hope that one of your goals in desiring to building a network marketing business is to position yourselves to help a lot of other people create a better life for themselves. If you are not connected with a leader who can help guide you in that direction contact me and let’s talk.

Well Good Monday Morning. I hope you had a wonderful holiday with your family and friends and are ready to make some serious money in 2010.

If you have not done so already I recommend you spend some quality time alone with pen and paper reflecting on what you did last year and how you want to improve upon those things this coming year.

If you’ve given thought to giving up on making money from home I encourage you to think again. This is an awesome time to make money and spend money — yes I said spend money. But I’m not talking about on things that will sit and gather dust. I’m talking about spending on things that will make you even more money.

This is not for everyone of course only those who are not afraid to make money, who are not afraid to step into uncharted territory, who are not afraid to spend time and risk some money in order to make a whole lot of it. No for those who are scared I recommend they continue to clutch that 9 to 5 and pray your company never down-sizes.

With this new year comes a new wave of opportunity. There are lot’s of people who have purposed in their hearts to make money from a home based business this year. These people do not have the means to invest in a brick and mortar business — trust me I’ve done that a couple times and it’s not a task for the timid.

But many, many, many of these people have the money to partner with a network marketing opportunity like ours. You just have to meet these people and introduce them. It will take meeting A LOT of people to get to a six figure income and it will take meeting A WHOLE LOT more people to get to six figures a month — but it is doable.

I’m here to accomplish this task right alongside you. I’m here to support and encourage you to stick with it until it’s stuck on you and you have the green to prove it. You can do this. This is a new year and a new opportunity — go for it. I am.

Go Ahead Jump You Might Just Fly!

Have you ever seen a scene from a movie or even in real life where someone is standing on the edge of a tall building and the people on the ground start shouting, “JUMP, JUMP, JUMP!”

Okay well my word for you today is “JUMP YOU MIGHT JUST FLY!” You are standing on the threshold of the rest of your life. You have in your possession with this company and this team the tools you need to land into a future of prosperity, hope, dreams, peace, joy and financial freedom! Whew how cool is that?

The problem is you will not land in that kind of future unless you are willing to jump out of your comfort zone and current situation. You have to be as determined to make this work as you are to take your next breath. You have to make up in your mind failure is not an option and you will find the money to do what you need to do because you are not going to end in the land of lack.

You are going to have to be willing to do what it takes, be coachable AND come up with some funds to do this deal. Even if you have to swim through that sea of junk ~ oops heirlooms in your basement and garage and sell them. Even if for the next six months to a year you have to work some overtime or flip burgers to have the money to build your business you’ll do it because you KNOW that over time you could build in income of a minimum of $10,000 a month!

For the love of Pete!  Most people would think they’d won the lottery if they were making $10,000 a month. But truth is most people aren’t willing to work that hard to make it happen and their future address is going to be POBox BROKE!!! I do not want that to happen to anyone on my team.

I can fast tracking you to success and it’s not going to be how you thought. Learn how you can REALLY make this work. First thing I want you to do is STOP talking to warm market especially if you are new to network marketing. You do not have the skill set in place to talk to your warm market yet so my word of advice to you is: LEAVE THEM ALONE!  We will talk more about that later.

Go ahead do it take that leap of faith. Make a deal with yourself and your family that you are going to commit your time and theirs and resources to this for the next twelve months. If you have not conquered this beast by then you should quit BUT I know that I know you will not because you will be a network marketing superstar by then.

Good Monday Morning Ya’ll,

I hope everyone is prospering in every area of your lives today. I have a word for you today then I’ll be on my way. I think this applies to almost everyone from time to time but some more so than others.  So here we go.

You have come to a place in your life where you realize the only way to ever have the kind of life now and retirement later you desire is to create it. You crossed paths with network marketing along the way and decided it was THE answer.

So where’s the problem?

The problem is that many — upwards of 97% according to industry statistics — will never realize their intended goals. They will give up, cave in and quit long before they hit $5 or $10K or more a month.

Does that mean network marketing doesn’t work?

No it’s not that network marketing doesn’t work. It’s that people won’t do the work that it requires and most use excuses that if they were a bucket would not hold water as to why it didn’t work for them.  

Here’s a dose of reality folks. The truth is many quit because it’s hard. Many have  serious obstacles, pressures, stresses, physical hardships to overcome in order to beat this beast and they just don’t persevere. Here’s a fact there is financial disease going on in this country and if you don’t beat this thing it WILL beat you.

Have you ever heard the saying ~ what doesn’t kill ya makes you stronger?

Well I’m here today to tell you that in spite of the tough things you are facing there are people out there who have it way and I mean WAY worse off than you?

How do I know that?

I know this because if you powered up your own computer and are sitting in a chair  under your own power reading this article for yourself then you got it good.

Let me just take a moment to share with you about someone in my life who is a hero in his own right. I know for a fact that this young man would give anything to trade places with you right now. He would be appalled at the excuses you make for not creating the life of your dreams.

You see this young man cannot walk, talk, sit, feed himself, and communicate to the outside world at all. He has been a prisoner in his own body for nearly twenty years and you now what – he fights to survive.

I believe everything happens for a reason and this young man and I crossed paths during a time in my life when I needed to know in a way that I would never forget what I’m telling you now.

People make excuses as to why they can’t talk to others about their opportunity which could pull their family out of a financial crisis ~ and he would just love to be able to speak. They won’t sit and listen to training calls ~ he would cherish being able to sit. Many won’t read books on personal development that could help them overcome ~ he would trade his soul to be able to read again.

You won’t get out of your comfort zone and he just wants to get up.

Folks it’s time for a dose of reality.  The excuses people make to not dig in ‘in spite of’ whatever they are going through is just that excuses. The reasons we give for not sticking with it until we get our desired results pale in comparison.  

I know you’ve got what it takes to succeed. I believe in you and am convinced that there is not obstacle in your life that cannot be captured and conquered.  I will continue to be here to offer support and encouragement and occasionally a dose of reality.  Until next time…
